JP created Big Bear Associates in 2021 as an emergency management consulting and training company. He has a B.S. in Fire & Emergency Services from the University of Florida and an A.A. in General Studies from Florida Atlantic University.
He has over 5 years of emergency management experience and is an AHIMT Type 3 Planning Section Chief.
Specific disaster experience includes incident management team deployments to Hurricane Ian (2022) and State of Florida COVID-19 testing vaccination operations (2020-2021). He is an adjunct instructor for the National Fire Academy's O305 class.
